Female Focused: Find Your Purpose. Be Confident. Be Brave – You Are Wonderful! Bounce back, Don’t Be Shy!

#sheisbrave

Please note: this post has nothing to do with feminism. Later on in time, I’ll be exploring male uplifting organisations too, don’t fret.

Bravery is not something you feel. Oh no, it’s something you do.

Sheisbrave is a non-profit organisation that focuses on young females.

Sheisbrave strives to increase a female’s capacity of bouncing back into purpose, even when overwhelmed. THIS COMPAIGN IS TO REACH OUT TO ALL WOMEN – AS WOMEN. And to enrich their lives with love; and acknowledgement – as girls tend to feel misunderstood. Its to teach women how to be strong, confident and skilled
According to Sheisbrave’s bio: “Girls face real problems on a daily basis during the most awkward stages of their lives. During this time, women are introduced to internal and external struggles. They go through, and are expected to cope with hormonal changes, puberty, work and school pressure, and they encounter more problems. The issues that girls face today can vary but these can be dealt with easily if parents, guardians and the community unite in understanding the symptoms of their problem.”
This compaign, whose vision is to unleash the BRAVERY and FULL POTENTAL in young women and girls, sends hope. This compaign exists to add ambition and confidence to character, so that SHE can bounce back. Sheisbrave’s vision is to have the right mentors, sisters and leaders to create a platform where all women and girls can learn, grow and redirect their ideas.
I have started a networking system in a funny way, by utmost coincidence, I came across Amanda Nomnqa (who is currently turning 21 this year.) Not only is she graduating this year in software engineering –  she is also a nurse, an entreprenuer, public speaker; and of course Co-Founder and C.E.O of SheIsbrave.
This is what Amanda has to share:
1. What motivated you to start this campaign?
“I want to be the change I want to see. I want to be the sister that I never had. I grew up with many challenges and I faced things I couldn’t talk about to a mentor or a sister. Once I had someone who I could relate to, but that person ended up wounding me and I stopped complaining. I want to stand up, empower and embrace a Brave Girl. We overvome so much as girls/young women.”
And so — by creating a mentorship platform that bounces back with even greater purpose, was her purpose.
2. (She mentioned that there are various departments)  What are the different departments
“Sports

Academics

Varsity groups

High school

School programs(debate,battle of books)

Motivational drives

Business(entreprenuers)

Pyschology support groups

Health.”
She later explained more in detail what battle of the books entails:

“Battle of the Books is a reading incentive program designed to encourage students to read quality literature. The Battle of the Books program is suitable for individual schools as well as school districts.”
3. What does it take to be a leader or mentor for young girls
“[It’s] not a trainsmash. It’s all about a willing heart and being the solution.”
4. How many mentors are there
“There are twenty. Some are working, and some are in varsity. ”
5. Do you compaign all over the country
“We would like to travel but [we are currently] not financialy stable to travel at the moment.”
